Dr. Ellis recently volunteered with the Steps2Walk Program

Dr. Ellis recently volunteered with the Steps2Walk Program, a humanitarian program led by Dr. Mark Myerson to help patients and hospitals around the globe. Dr. Ellis along with other International leaders in Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery travel to centers in nineteen nations to help train doctors and perform charity surgery.

During this mission, the team focused on helping their Chilean colleagues locally at the Hospital Las Higueras in Concepcion where the meeting and surgeries took place. Dr. Ellis and his peers gave lectures, examined patients that had been pre-selected by the local doctors, and then performed thirteen complex foot and ankle procedures. Dr. Ellis completed multiple surgeries including an ankle replacement, an ankle fusion, and coalition fusion/ankle stabilization procedure. We are happy to report that all patients are recovering well.
