Comments: Let me start by saying words can’t describe my experience with Dr. Scott Ellis and HSS. I have suffered my entire life with flatfeet. Been through multiple orthotics, shockwave therapy, and even a prior surgery to release my fascia due to heal pain. When I turned 52 I started developing inner ankle pain and a MRI showed I had a pretty bad tear in my posterior tendon. The advice I received prior to selling Dr Ellis was to get yet another pair of orthotics and cortisone shots.
My hunch told to get a second opinion and I did. My experience with Scott Ellis was truly remarkable. I was observed by a team of Doctors and the consensus along with Dr Ellis ‘s recommendation was to have a flatfoot reconstruction. I had three procedures in one surgery. Six months post operation I made the best decision of my life. My foot is 100% better. No more clamping on the railing going down stairs and zero pain. Prior to surgery the pain would also radiate in all different areas of my foot just by resting it on a surface. Furthermore, I’m back to activities with my 9 year old and back to walking and using the elliptical machine. I can’t thank you and your staff enough. Scott you are truly remarkable and talented surgeon.
