Stephen Costigliola, RPA-CPhysician Assistant to Dr. Scott Ellis
Stephen Costigliola is a certified physician assistant licensed in the state of New York. A native New Yorker, Stephen was born and raised in Queens, New York. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at St. Francis College, and is board certified through the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). He started his career in 2003, working as PA in Emergency Medicine. In 2007, Stephen began practicing General Orthopaedics and Trauma, and has been specializing in Foot & Ankle Surgery since joining Hospital for Special Surgery in 2010.
As a Certified Physician Assistant, Stephen provides services that would otherwise be performed by physicians. His duties include assisting Dr. Ellis in surgery as well as seeing patients in the office. In order to accommodate patients in a timely manner, Stephen also routinely sees patients by himself during initial visits (for both chronic foot disorders as well as emergent injuries), for pre-op surgical planning, and routine post-op care.
